My husband and I stayed in (The Woodsman) for our 25th anniversary. The cabin was absolutely beautiful. I was amazed at how clean the cabin and appliances/furnishings were. We visited Natural Bridge and Red River Gorge while there, with the Gorge being totally awesome. It was great to come back (home) to our cabin, and relax in the hot tub. That was a daily ritual. My husband has rheumatoid arthritis, and it was very therapeutic for him. We picked the end of October to visit, hoping the Fall scenery would still be great, and was it ever. Every fall color imaginable. We also enjoyed the view we had from the cabin, and also the road we drove on to get there. The fireplace was great also. So romantic and warm. I hoped to see some wildlife while we were there. It rained all night Friday night, and there were 2 does in the stream as we went for breakfast Saturday morning. We got to see hundreds of wild turkeys. Maybe next time we visit, we will see a bear. We think that visiting in winter, with a snowy scenery would be great, so hopefully we can make it back there in January or February. We are definitely coming back.
